Preach the Word
The Importance of Faith
ConfidenceFor we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end;
WorksFor as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
BelieveJesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”
The Reason for Losing Faith
LawlessnessAnd because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.
StopI also withheld the rain from you when there were yet three months to the harvest;..
DesireDo not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
How to Recover the Lost Faith
Truth“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
Ask“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
HonorAnd he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
“I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love,
and I will meditate on your statutes.”
"For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness."
“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."
"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you."
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying,
“I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
"My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
"The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light."
Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for
“The righteous shall live by faith.”
But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.”
“Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience,
desiring to act honorably in all things.
I urge you the more earnestly to do this in order that I may be restored to you the sooner.”
